Stardew Valleyhas been around for several years now, and despite the recent 1.6 patch adding a considerable amount of content, one player decided to challenge themselves to see how much they could do in the game without ever leaving their farm. Many players are still looking for creative ways to challenge themselves and make the game feel brand new, and since this new challenge has been brought to light, many have decided to see if they could do it too.

Though thechallenge of never leaving the farm inStardew Valleyis not entirely new, one player recently showed how players can still decorate their farms and make them look beautiful while they remain isolated in their farm plots. Reddit userOk-Aspect-9070used the Four Corners farm layout to try the challenge, which includes a small mine on the property to gather ores from. This mine is much more limited in scope than players are used to, but it at least provides the necessary ores for crafting basic necessities.

AlthoughOk-Aspect-9070 cannot upgrade their tools or get a fishing pole, they have worked to make their farm a stunning little village all their own, with creative placements of decorations to make the area unique and cozy. Using only items they dig up and seeds multiplied by the use of a seed maker, their farm is still much more impressive than many who are not taking part in the challenge.

It’s More Complicated Than It Sounds

This challenge is pretty self-explanatory in that, ultimately, the only rule is that a player is not allowed to leave their farmto visit the town, beach, or literally any other location on the map other than their little plot of farmland. This includes not going to see Willy to get the first fishing pole, purchasing any seeds from the store, or even buying an animal from Marnie.

10 Things To Do First In Stardew Valley To Keep From Feeling Overwhelmed

While it is a cozy game meant for relaxing, Stardew Valley has a lot of things going on, which can be very overwhelming to new players starting up.

As Ok-Aspect-9070 shared on Reddit, they took the challenge a step further in working to see how much money they could make and attempt to make their farm as beautifully decorated as possible.

Fans Create Their Own Versions Of The Challenge To Spice Things Up

Players can choose to start on whichever farm they would like, keeping in mind that each starting location offers different benefits and drawbacks. It would likely be a much harder challenge if someone chose a fishing-focused farm such as the Riverland Farm since they are unable to obtain a fishing pole. Many players have altered the challenge to be more fun by allowing themselves to leave the plot to grab a fishing pole or other specific items.

PlayingStardew Valleyshould always be a fun and relaxing endeavor, and it is always interesting to see how players like Ok-Aspect-9070 use their creativity to make incredible builds under even the most challenging circumstances. While this isn’t a challenge I’ve personally tried, it’s definitely one I’m keen to see more of when the results are as impressive as this one!
