Like most MMORPGs,Throne and Libertygives players full control over their character’s builds, allowing for truly creative and excellent builds like the Blademaster to come about. This build, and variants of it, is currently one of the most popular in PvE thanks to its sheer power, with mobility, survivability, and CC options. Not only is it versatile, making it good for players who like to shake things up, but it also allows for some tanking if you decide you’re getting bored doing damage.

The Blademaster build utilizes a combination of a Greatsword and Daggers, and by the endgame, you’ll have quite a few options for each weapon archetype. In order to fully utilize this build, you’ll need to target a few key skills and weapon masteries. Some skills are interchangeable with others depending on how you prefer to play, and this guide will offer a few alternatives when they are relevant.

Best Stats For a Blademaster Build

Prioritize STR and DEX, With Remaining Points to PER

Before talking about the weapons you’ll need for your Blademaster, you’ll need to allot your stat points properly. In order to maximize your capacity to stun, make critical hits, and regen health, here is the stat distribution you should start with:

You’ll only be able to reach these stat numbers if you’re level 50, which is when you’ll have the maximum amount of stat points (49) available.

STR and DEX are the most important stats here; as a Blademaster, you will want to focus on high Health and Crit Chance. For these reasons, they’re alsogood stats to level early. Having these stats high will allow for your crowd-control and AoE skills to be more effective, making you an add-clear machine.

How To Change Servers In Throne And Liberty

It is possible to change worlds in Throne and Liberty. This is free during Early Access. But, it will cost $7 USD or more in the full release.

As you level, continue to increase your stats in this general proportion, but don’t focus too much on making the points work out exactly. It would be best if you also kept an eye on what points go where based on your gear and weapon bonuses, so ensure to take a look at these numbers whenever you significantly change your loadout.

Best Weapons For a Blademaster Build

The Best Weapons Are Found In The End-Game

A few Greatsword and Dagger combinations work well for the Blademaster build; what you need tofocus on in a weapon is those that prioritize Strength and Dexterity, as the Blademaster kit scales off these attributes. If you’re not sure which Greatsword to pick, consider checking outMMOLater’s video on YouTube. That being said, here are the best weapons to look for when building your Blademaster:

DEX: +3

A player fighting in Throne and Liberty

STR: +4

Stun Chance: +42

This sword’s skill, Tevent’s Despair Trap, deals 325% base damage in a 1.5m radius around the userwhenever Collision, Shock, or Stun is applied with a Greatsword Skill.Combines well with the Stunning Blow skill.

Crit Chance: +159

Construct Bonus DMG: 8

Adentus’s Greatsword provides +3 base damage for every 1,000 of Health when attacking. The minimum bonus is 15, and the max is 60,allowing your weapon damage to scale off your health pool, boosted by your high STR and passives. This incentivizes avoiding damage in order to keep your DMG bonus high.

PER: +3

mixcollage-02-dec-2024-02-57-am-7034.jpg

WIS: +4

Crit Chance: +39

Once again, this weapon focuses on raising WIS and PER, alongside increasing your Crit Chance just a bit. Combining this with Inject Venom and Destructive Fang means your Daggers will provide consistent debuffs to poisoned enemies.

DEX: +8

Weaken Chance: +17

Wildling Bonus DMG: +8

Rex Fangs plays a similar role to Wicked Thorns but adds more Weaken rather than Crit Chance. Either way, your daggers are less important than your Greatsword in this build.

You can go for other options in the Blademaster build, but these options will provide you with an excellent base to start with. These are end-game weapons and can be hard to come by, so feel free to branch out if you don’t feel like hunting these down. Remember, what’s essential in a Greatsword is something that can combo with Stun, Collision, and Shock or that can scale with off of one of STR or DEX.

Your Daggers are less critical, as you’ll keep them in your off-hand, but you still need to add bonuses to STR, DEX, or PER at the very least. This build focuses primarily on increasing Greatsword Damage by applying debuffs, and to do this effectively, you’ll need to choose the right passive skills.

Keep in mind anybonuses your Mount/Morph might giveyou when choosing as well.

Best Passive Skills and Weapon Masteries For a Blademaster Build

Focusing On Taking Advantage Of Debuffed Enemies Through Critical Hits

For your passive skills, you’ll want to choose skills that balance survivability with damage, which can be a bit tricky when picking from all your options. The main skills you should choose areCold Warrior and Assassin’s Instincts, with Destructive Fang and Vital Force acting as supplements.

The skills below are recommended but not necessarily required for the build to function. Remember that you’re looking for increased Crit Rate and abilities that take advantage of debuffed targets. Consider the following skills:

Provides +470 max Health and 10 Health Regen.

Vital Force

Increases Melee, Magic, and Ranged Hit chances by 0.62, Skill DMG by 0.07, and Stun Chance by 0.425 for every 100 Max Health.

Cold Warrior

Increases Melee, Magic, and Ranged Heavy Attack chances by 120 against Shocked or Stunned targets. Increases Melee, Magic, and Ranged Crit chances by 105.

Raging Frenzy

Increases Skill Damage Boost by 50 when three or more targets are within a five-meter radius.

Indomitable Armor

Taking damage grants a 25% chance to increase Magic, Melee, and Ranged Defense by 140 for 2s, which can stack up to 3x.

Increases Magic, Melee, and Ranged Critical Hit chances by 66.

Destructive Fang

When attacking targets debuffed by Poison or Thunderclouds, there is an 80% chance of reducing the target’s Magic, Melee, and Ranged Defense by 40 for 3s.

Wrathful Edge

Increases crit. DMG by 9.6%.

These passive skills work together to increase the efficacy of Thundercloud and Shock/Stun, which your active skills will apply. You’ll pair these with the Face Off Greatsword mastery, which increases your DMG, chances to Weaken and Stun, and lowers your cooldowns.

For your Daggers, picking the Poison branch allows you to maximize the duration of your debuffs while also giving you lower cooldowns and increasing your mana efficiency. If you don’t want to lean into debuffs and instead want to focus purely on damage, you can also pick the Assassin mastery path for your Daggers or spread your points between the two.

Additionally, Robust Constitution and Vital Force build off one another, increasing your damage as your health increases also. Focus on upgrading these first; they’re going to be essential to give you versatility in tanking, should you so choose. With high health and high damage thanks to these two passives, along with the defense boost given by Indomitable Armor, you should be pretty set to stand up a good number of enemies at once.

Best Active Skills For a Blademaster Build

Focus On Debuff Application To Deal Devastating Damage

As mentioned previously, the active skills listed will prioritize Thunderclouds and Cold Warrior-focused debuffing in order to deal as much damage as possible to afflicted targets. You’ll have a few skills that will allow you to hit your targets with these debuffs, which will then allow you higher crit. chances or lowered defenses to really hit them hard with your heavy attacks.

If you picked the Poison mastery on your Daggers, you’ll also gain extra synergy with Inject Venom, allowing your debuffs to last longer and thereby become more effective. Here are the skills you should pick:

Shadow Strike

Greatsword

Moving behind a target deals damage equal to 200% of Base Damage and has a(n) 80% chance to Bind the target for 2s.

Stunning Blow

Deals 150% of Base Damage, with a(n) 80% chance to Stun the target for 3.2s.

Targets immune to Stun are Shocked for 8.4s instead.

Every successful Heavy Attack sets the Stun duration to 3.7s and the Shock duration to 9.4s.

Guillotine Blade

Deals 750% of Base Damage + 111 damage. Deals 975% of Base Damage + 144 damage to Collision: Prone or Shocked targets. The damage is amplified by 100% against monsters. On hit, Weakens the target, decreasing Incoming Heal by 60% for 6s. The damage increases up to 100% in proportion to the charging time.

Gaia Crash

Slams the Greatsword in a 12m-long, 3m-wide area in a selected direction to deal 295% of Base Damage + 79 damage.

Cleaving Moonlight*

Charges towards the target in 3m to attack all nearby targets in a 1.5m radius 3 times. Each attack deals 190% of Base Damage + 35 damage.

The number of attacks increases up to 4 times upon the Off-Hand Weapon activation.

Valiant Brawl*

Attacks 3 times in a row, each attack dealing 205% of Base Damage + 71 damage. 100% more damage against monsters. Every time a hit becomes a heavy attack, the remaining cooldown decreases by 20%.

Ascending Slash

Deals 320% of Base Damage + 126 damage. Has a(n) 80% chance to inflict Collision: Prone against Bound, Sleeping, or Stunned targets or those using Static Defense for 2.5s. Each Heavy Attack increases Prone’s duration by 1s.

Death Blow*

Deals damage equal to 530% of Base Damage + 181. Against Bound, Sleeping, Shocked, or Stunned targets, damage increases by 30%. The damage increases up to 100% proportional to the charging time. The damage is amplified by 80% against monsters.

Willbreaker

It deals 100% of Base Damage to all enemies within a 3m radius area and applies to Weaken, which decreases Melee, Ranged, and Magic Defense by 720 for 6s.

DaVinci’s Courage*

Increases Max Health by 1000, Health Regen by 250, and Attack Speed by 15% for 12s for party members within a 15m radius.

Dagger

Here, you’ll rely mainly on Death Blow, Valiant Brawl, and Gaia Crash to do most of your damage, with Guillotine Blade and Cleaving Moonlight also playing an important role in your rotation. Inject Venom should start your skill rotations each time, as applying Poison will trigger your Destructive Fang passive, improving your crit rate and lowering your enemies' defenses. Brutal Incision also deals extra damage to Poisoned enemies, so keep it in mind for dealing a finishing blow.

As you upgrade these skills, branch into upgrades that apply or utilize Thunderclouds, Weaken (through Frost), cooldown reduction, and AoE damage. This build focuses on these specific debuffs, and lower CDs will make your skill rotations smoother and easier to time. The CC focus of your AoE upgrades will mean that your chances in a 1v1 PvP situation are a little more challenging, so think ahead when going against other players.

Your skills, combined with your Passives, should give you a pretty high chance to afflict enemies with Stun, Shock, Weaken, or Thunderclouds. In addition to these, you’ll also inflict at least one of the three status effects that interact with Tevent’s Warblade of Despair: Stun, Collision, or Shock. No matter which debuffs you apply, you have many options at your disposal to take advantage of these effects, and with the Greatsword’s range, your CC will be practically unmatched.

Skill Rotations For a Blademaster Build

It’s Important To Know If Your Opponent Can Be Stunned

You should approach most engagements with this general order:DaVinci’s Courage > Inject Venom > Willbreaker > Valiant Brawl > Cleaving Moonlight x2 > (Stunning Blow > Ascending Slash > Guillotine Blade) > Gaia Crash > Brutal Incision. If your opponent can be stunned, you should include the Stunning Blow action chain with Ascending Slash and Guillotine Blade. If they can’t be stunned, use Guillotine before Ascending Slash, then use the Prone from Ascending Slash to charge and use Death Blow.

Starting DaVinci’s Courage increases your health and damage and can also apply all its effects to team members. This increase in health also takes advantage of your Vital Force passive, and the rest of this rotation focuses on applying as many statuses as possible to decrease enemy defense and increase your DMG output. You don’t have to start with DaVinci’s Courage all the time if it’s on CD, but it’s helpful when allies need healing before a damaging mechanic or when someone is critically wounded.

Focus On Your Stats First, And Consider The Set Bonus

The Imperator set provides beneficial bonuses when you’ve got the four-piece set bonus up, so equip at least four pieces of this set to increase mobility skills and a higher heavy attack chance. For accessories, focus on those that increase your main two or three stats, STR, DEX, and PER, like the Clasp of the Conquerer and Bracers of the Primal King.If you haven’t made it to the endgame yet, you may check outDeltia’s Gaming’s video on YouTube to see an early/mid-game set of gear.

Clasp of the Conqueror

・Health Regen

・Debuff Duration

This gear combination focuses on maximizing health so you get the most out of your Vital Force while also supporting your ability to Stun and do consistent damage. Prioritize endurance because the longer you can stay in a fight, the longer you’ll be able to do damage. InThrone and Liberty, damage isn’t everything, but for this Blademaster build, your main output will be your damage. While some say thegame still has a ways to go, fun builds like this make it engaging.
