Today’s Connections Category Hints
MARCH 03 #631
If you need a few pointers about today’s puzzle without spoilers, this is the place to get them. It felt like there was a lot of words that overlapped and a lot of things that I thought could go together. It felt like I was always one step away, and yet I wasn’t even seeing the “one away” hint. Even when I saw the answers, I thought I had guessed at least 3 out of the 4 words together, and that messed with my brain quite a bit. To keep it from messing with your head, here are four clues:
8 NYT Tiles Strategies To Score Huge Combos
The Tiles game for the New York Times mobile app asks you to use various strategies to pair matching visual patterns together to build huge combos.
If that is still not enough for you today, we have the rest of those things you are looking for down below.Try starting with the category namesbefore looking at the spoilers if you feel you are too close to losing.

LOUNGE
REST
This is the category I got very early on, and it felt pretty good.Seeing LOAF and LOUNGE made me think about my cats, and it wasn’t too hard to add in the rest. My favorite LOUNGE moment with my cat was while I was winding down for bed, and he let out the biggest sigh. It was so big I looked at him and told him that it must be awful hard to sleep all day. He just looked at me. I suppose he was just expressing himself and how nice it felt to LOAF.
LEAF
NUGGET
I thought I had guessed three of these words at once when I was making guesses because I knew I missed BAR, but I didn’t think I missed the rest. I wasn’t thinking of them as gold, but I did think of them as things people often dig or search for. I thought I had these three with BONE. Alas, with those guesses, I also thought DINOSAUR or RUBBLE could end up in the same category. BAR I thought could go with BOLT, CLUB, and BONE as well, so there was a lot of confusion here no matter what.

Four categories with four words each sounds simple, but the daily challenge of the Connections game can prove difficult without a few tips to help.
ROLL
SCROLL
Again, I thought I had guessed REEL, ROLL, and SCROLL together, but I am starting to think that I must exist in multiverses where I did that somewhere else and not here. The evidence would point to that. However, I explained what I thought BOLT might go with earlier, but I thought LEAF could go with the rest of the words as if scrolling through something. I should have guessed BOLT of fabric, but I was mainly thinking of it as a weapon.
DINOSAUR
RUBBLE
I had all of these words in all sorts of different places. By the end,I thought DINOSAUR had to go with something like a television show or movie, and I had it with BONE at one point, but I don’t think I ever had it with CLUB, which was the biggest mistake. I’m kind of disappointed in myself with this one because I did watch this show as a kid with my dad quite a bit, but in all fairness, it has been a very long time.
