Perhaps the reason behind this rare ability was a way for nature to ensure that there was a way to kill the immortal creatures, so there could be a balance.
Given that most vampires don’t have access to the blood of these rare supernatural beings, a huge number of them end up dying when they have werewolf venom in their system.
