Part of the third-person shooter hack-n-slash video game,Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, is being able to upgrade weapons to take down enemies known as Tyranids. Although as a Space Marine players will have superhuman abilities, weapons still help to keep the swarms under control. To upgrade weapons, players need Mastery Points.
Mastery Points are the currency ofWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2and are used tobuy special perks for weapons. Players can unlock weapon perks that deal more damage, instantly reload weapons after use, decrease recoil, and more. Here’s how to get Mastery Points.

How To Get Mastery Points In Space Marine 2
Max XP On Weapons & Complete Operations Missions
There are a few ways to get Mastery Points inWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The first way is just to play the game andlevel up your weapons. Each weapon type has XP that can be maxed out, and when you upgrade that weapon, the XP bar resets, and you can max out the upgrade, too. Players will have toplay through Operations, the PVE mode, to max out weapons. Each weapon upgrade and variant will allow you to max out the XP. Every time a weapon’s XP is maxed, you’ll earn Mastery Points. Once the weapon is completely maxed, though, you won’t be able to earn more Mastery Points for it.
Since Mastery Points are limited, don’t use them willy-nilly. Instead, make sure that you are choosing the weapon and perks that will most benefit you during your gameplay.

ensure to level up the variants as well so you can earn as many Mastery Points as possible. If you max out the XP for both the Standard and Master-Crafted Plasma Pistol, you’ll earn two Mastery Points. Luckily, there areplenty of weaponsto level up. With six weapon categories, over 20 weapons, and four tiers, you’ll be able to earn plenty of Mastery Points. Each weapon will start off as a Standard weapon, but you can thenupgrade to Master-Crafted, Artificer, and Relicat 1,500 XP, 7,500 XP, and 17,000 XP, respectively.
Mastery Points are weapon-exclusive, meaning that when you earn a Mastery Point for one weapon, it must be used on that weapon. It cannot be transferred to another weapon.

No matter your play style, you’ll haveplenty of weapons to choose frominWarhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. If you prefer close-quarters combat, you can choose a melee weapon. Or, if you prefer distance, pick a long-ranged weapon. I recommend sticking to one category and leveling each weapon up, one at a time. The weapons themselves include:
Melee
Unfortunately, leveling up these weapons can take a while. So, if you’re not into grinding your way through Mastery Points, there’s another option. Armory Data can level up weapons instantly, granting Mastery Points for each level. If you want to go this route, you’ll need toplay through Operationsandfind Servo Skulls, which will grant you Armory Data. Servo-Skulls appear randomly and only once per mission. There are three tiers of Armory Data you can find, and the tier will depend on threat levels.
How To Use Mastery Points To Upgrade Weapons
Use Mastery Points To Unlock Perks For Weapons
Open your weapons menu at theArmoring Halland navigate to the weapon you want to upgrade. Select Perk Tree, which will give you the ability to apply your Mastery Points to special buffs. These buffs will improve your weapons in areas like damage, speed, cooldown, AoE, and more. There are two Perk Trees per weapon. You won’t be able to mix between the two trees, and you won’t be able to unlock all Perks since Mastery Points are limited, so choose wisely.
