There’s “The Junkster”, “The Mogul”, “The King”, “Paris Hilton” and so on. “The Gambler” and “The Sidebet” refer to Darrell Sheets and his son Brandon, respectively, a family duo who first appeared on the show in the pilot episode. Brandon was a memorable part of the series who stumbled uponplenty of treasure in his time onStorage Wars, so it was a bit of a surprise when he was suddenly gone.

Darrell Has Remained On The Show
Brandon’s final episode ofStorage Warswas season 9, episode 13, “Sundown Showdown”, but he didn’t appear in the last two episodes of the season, and never returned to the show. Though A&E has never given a reason for why Brandon stopped appearing, there’s been speculation that the network fired him for financial reasons.The theory goes that A&E could only afford to keep one of the Sheets, and so picked Darrell. A since-deleted tweet from Brandon backs this up (viaLooper),
“Funny how @AETV fired me for lack of budget but they still have their people follow me on Social media and want me to do free stuff.”
Another since-deleted Tweet from Brandon read, viaChristian Post,
“I am no longer affiliated with Storage Wars, Darrell will still be in new episodes but I have been told I am no longer on the show (budget).”
Though this has never been officially confirmed by A&E, it’s likely the case considering Brandon’s tweets and the fact that Darrell remains on the show. Since those tweets,Brandon has been quiet about leavingStorage Warsand if he was frustrated after seemingly being fired, it appears that he’s cooled down about it.
Brandon and Darrell began the series as partners but in later seasons, went up against one another during auctions.

Brandon has clearly not let his departure fromStorage Warsget him down. He’s since moved from California to Arizona with his family, where he is a sales agent and logistics specialist for a real estate company. HisLinkedInprofile showcases some of the goofy sense of humor he was known for on the show with an about section that reads,
“I no longer lift things up and put them down. I used to be on Storage Wars, now I am a Real Estate Agent in Arizona, buy and sell things of Value! currently work as a logistics specialist
‘Oh what a time to be ALIVE!'”
He’s still finding ways to entertain as well and, in 2019,he made a series of Facebook posts in the style ofMTV’sCribsbut about his middle-class suburban life. More recently, in June 2024, Brandon was in a major car accident that he miraculously escaped from with only some injuries and his other posts suggest he has since recovered.
Brandon Sheets’ life post-Storage Warshas certainly been different, but it appears to be no less fulfilling.
