Summary
Warning: Contains preview images for Wolverine Annual #1!The list of people thatWolverinehates is not a short one, and now a new name has just been added to the roster. Unluckily, he’s one of the strongest heroes in Marvel Comics currently, and he’s taken it upon himself to fight Wolverine to the death. It’s none other than Apex, the cosmic wielder of an Infinity Stone, and that Power Stone within him is drawn to Logan.
The heroes fused with the Infinity Stoneshave returned in Marvel’s ongoingThe Infinity Watchstoryline, with the latest installment appearing inWolverine Annual#1 by Ezra Claytan Daniels and Yildiray Çinar. Wolverine is just on his way home on his bike, when Apex crashes into his way, angling for a fight.

Apparently, the Power Stone-infused Apex seesWolverine as a worthy opponent, andeven though Wolverine has a notably no-nonsense attitude, he just can’t help attracting the talkers begging for a fight.
Marvel’s New HELLFIRE WARRIOR Combines Ghost Rider’s Powers with an Iconic MCU Hero
In conjunction with the character’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the comic book version of Wolverine takes on a vengeful new form.
It’s hard out there for heroes with healing factors. Someone always wants to challenge Wolverine to see if they’ve got the endurance to make him stay down. Apex is just the latest in a long line of challengers, but he might bethe strongest hero out of them. After all, Apex has infinite power. Wolverine, on the other hand, has zero patience.

For a hero who hates other heroes, Wolverine has been in a lot of team-ups, like Midnight Sons and X-Force to name only a few.
In truth, Wolverine is antagonistic towards pretty much everyone he’s ever teamed up with or fought against. He’s been a thorn in Cyclops' side for as long as the X-Men have been around, he’s been worse to Professor X, andDeadpool is the bane of his existence. Apex aka Prince Otherone is just the latest to tap-dance on Logan’s last and only nerve. Really, all it takes is a single punch to get on Wolverine’s bad side, and ten seconds in, it looks like Apex has already accomplished this.

Wolverine’s Infinite Healing vs Apex’s Infinite Power
Apex is the Living Embodiment of the Power Stone
A new complicated hero dynamic is in the works with the likes of Wolverine and Apex. One’s an animal-hero with a rage problem who just got punched without warning, and the other is a prissy space prince who doesn’t like his subjects speaking out of turn. While Wolverine has had to deal with idiots before, dealing with cosmic princes is new for the rough and rumble X-Man. Their strengths might be a match for each other, but they could not be more characteristically different - which makes them perfect for each other.
Wolverine just might end up being a match for an Infinity Stone.

While fans will have to wait for the comic to drop to find out just how this new dynamic shakes out and who will end up stronger, poor Logan finds himself in another fight he didn’t ask for. Even if Apex has the Power Stone, he doesn’t haveWolverine’s healing factor- which means thatWolverinejust might end up being a match for an Infinity Stone.
Wolverine
The human mutant Wolverine (a.k.a. Logan) was born James Howlett, blessed with a superhuman healing factor, senses, and physiology. Subjecting himself to experimentation to augment his skeleton and claws with adamantium, Logan is as deadly as he is reckless, impulsive, and short-tempered. Making him the X-Men’s wildest and deadliest member, and one of Marvel Comics' biggest stars. He’s played in Fox and Marvel’s movie franchises by Hugh Jackman.
